Cosmetics: import/export 2012

New updated data are now available on the import/export of cosmetics during the first 6 months of 2012.
Data include the trend of the main categories, the 10 main importers of Italian cosmetics and the analysis of the countries with the best export performance.

According to the data, exports increased of 4%, while imports decreased of more than 1,5%. The trade surplus is due mostly to the price increases carried out to contrast the export fall. The list of the first 10 destinations of Italian exports is led by France, but major sales were registered in Russia and Hong Kong.

The most exported products include lotions (+13,3%) and eye make-up products (+17,0%). Exports of bath products (-10,4%), deodorants (-23,5%) and perfumes (-12,8) are instead decreasing.
